The Clippers and Lakers both share the Staples Centre and even though, technically speaking, the Clippers are the home team on Wednesday night it's a game where everyone will be driving to work. The crowd will hardly be divided as the Lakers are the more popular team even if the Clipper's logo is all over the floor.
The Lakers played on Tuesday night in a surprisingly tough game against the Washington Wizards. LA appeared to have the game at hand late in the third quarter but Washington made a charge to make things interesting before the Lakers sealed the win late.
They could have made a statement in the game but LA have not been playing their best in recent outings. Fortunately for Laker fans, it may be safe to say that the Lakers will not likely need to play their best on Wednesday night in order to secure a win.
The Clippers are on a 1 game winning streak, a very hot streak for their standards as the LAC are just 5-17 this year overall. All of their wins have come from the Staples Center so far this season but they are still just 5-7 in games from downtown Los Angeles.
The Clippers, however, are less about their team achievements and they are more about Blake Griffin and his efforts to be an impact player this season.
Griffin averages 20.2 points per game this season so far and his rebounding average is 11.8 per game - a double-double average that might see him make the All Star game.
